Nike ACG pseudo-dressy shoes. The honies always give me props for these shoes. They look way better on the foot than on the shelf in the store. That's why they were only 40 bucks. I think these are waterproof, too. One other thing I like about them is that when I rub the oil off my face and rub it on these shoes, all the scuffs go away. Now THAT is good leather.

Nike ACG--actually called the Air Shasta. This shoe has really been around. They're kinda shelled out. So I wear them when I'm gonna get really sandy or dirty.

I know the point of this blog is for the pictures to be boring, but I just couldn't resist taking this picture of my shoe on top of Guadalupe dunes by Point Sal. This is a good place for my shoes to live. I just can't seem to kill these cheapo Nike shoes. I overpaid for these at $40, but they're really not that bad. For future reference, only buy Nike's on ebay or really cheap on east bay or at the Nike factory store--then you get $100+ shoes for 40 bucks and you can still have the dunescape and waves in the background with a free camera phone. Be like me.

These are the cool black dress boots that cool people wear--with the wide soles--and I found them for twenty bucks. Don't care to look at what brand they are. They're fun to preach in. They've also taken three years to break in, since I wear them about 3 times per year. I want to keep all my shoes so long that they go out of style and come back in. 29 more years for these.

Friday

Oct 28--#63

Nike Shox Running Shoe. I don't remember the codename for this shoe. It was the first pair of shox I ever got. I've run thousands of miles in these things. And even though they are a cloth shoe, they've withstood much beating. I love wearing them in airports. Again, I have loved these shoes so much that I've nearly worn them out, but they are still so beautiful to me, even though I broke the zippers handles off and had to put safety pins on them. See the pin?
By the way, that is my hose underneath my shoe. Cuz I like dem hose.

Oct 27--#64

Nike Air Duncan 180. These are like light tanks, a joy to ball in. Those are the pimp rims on my car. Word.

Thursday

Oct 26--#65

Nike Air Zoom The Glove Payton. I like silver shoes. This is a dope shoe. I'm glad I scored a pair of these on ebay before they went out of style. Not many of these in this good a condition in size 11. Eat your heart out, Mr. Size Eleven Man Who Wants These Paytons.

Oct 25--#66

Nike Air Veer. No picture can do this shoe justice. A classic and a beautiful thing. I got them on ebay for 40 bucks. Love 'em. If only I could find a wife that looked this good . . .

Wednesday

Oct 24--#67

Salomon clogs, given to me by my cousin Cory Schlisner. I think they were a little too small for him. In the background are the agapanthus plants I put in earlier this year. Once again, information that matters to you most, here on Life Is A Shoe.

Tuesday

Oct 23--#68

Nike Air Max Dri-Fit Runner. I bought these on ebay long ago, and when they arrived I was a little disappointed. But after wearing them, I actually really like these shoes...so much that I wanted to make the background for them nice and artsy. That's a urinal at Cuesta College.

Oct 22--#69

Adidas Samba. Given to me by Ed Mejia. Today may be 162nd anniversary of the Great Disappointment, but there is much to be excited about looking to the future; only 68 more pairs of shoes to look at. Someone suggested to me today that I should make this a pay site to raise money. But you, yes you, are the only one who is reading this, so I guess I wouldn't make much money, so this will remain a pro-bono site for the good of the world.

Saturday

Oct 21--#70

Timberland waterproof dress shoes. Don't really need waterproofness here in California. But just in case the church floods, I have them on during today's worship service in the picture above. Some people are writing me saying, "You have too much time on your hands." Or "Bret, dude, this is really wierd." And hey, I am wierd. But this really doesn't take much time. I just take the picture with my phone and email it to myself and then drag it from the desktop onto the blog. Simple. You can do it, too. I'll pray for you.

Friday

Oct 20--#71

Nike Air Zoom Haven. Another one of the most comfortable shoes ever made. Also so nice I don't even want to wear them. I never want them to get old. They're super grippy like climbing shoes. Super stylin' but the pic is bad. See them in person and you will marvel. Woo woo.

Oct 19--#72

Nike Air Zoom E-Cue Skate Shoe. I wish I had bought like 20 pairs of these. They look dope in every color and are ultra comfortable and cushiony and great for any sport. I regret wearing them to play tennis because the gummy, tractiony bottoms wear down quickly on the tennis court.

Oct 18--#73

Jordan Ace. I bought these shoes because they are designated as the "tennis" shoe of the Jordan line, but I like them so much I wouldn't want to thrash them on the tennis court, even though they were only 40 bucks. Very pleasing shoe. It makes me wanna yodel.

Oct 17--#74

Zapatos de cuero que compre' en Argentina hace once an~os. Without the ability to insert Spanish characters this sentence reads, "Leather shoes that you may buy in Argentina eleven anuses ago." But I really mean to say, "Leather shoes that I bought in Argentina eleven years ago." But instead, I'll say: "These shoes used to be cool until I got them all dirty, but then again, once I brought them to USA they weren't that cool anymore."

Oct 16--#75

Nike Air Max Signature Player Foamposite. This was the first pair of shoes I bought on East Bay. I was more than pleased with them, as they cost only 23 bucks. A beautiful and distinctive shoe in any color. It takes probably 30 usages to break them in. But they're rad. This is just barely touching my basketball collection. More to come later.

Wednesday

Oct 15--#76

Salomon 'racing' shoes. Not sure what kind of racing these are for, but that's what the little description of them in the Eastbay catalog said. These, like all my shoes, were bought on sale really cheap. And these look better and better as the years go by and mullets and cuffed pants get closer to being popular again. Ice, Ice baby. Dig those jeans.

Oct 14--#77

These are some fly Jordan trainers of some kind that Ed used to wear. Carlos Mott wore them at Union, too, and he was good. So they're good enough for me. Like old time religion. Or Old timey. Anything old timey is good. I need to use that adjective more "That's so old-timey." Yeah. Ahh. Feels so good.

Saturday

Oct 13--#78

You gotta wear these on Friday the 13th. The Jordan LX3's that Ed gave me in return for preaching his wedding. Thanks Ed. Shucks. Gee-whiz. Gosh. People at church call these my spider man shoes.

Thursday

Oct 12--#79

Ocean Pacific flip flops. The crumbiest workmanship ever--the worst flipflops I've ever had. Get etnies. These things weigh 357 pounds each. They're made out of matter from a neutron star. It hurts my ankles just to put them on.

Wednesday

Oct 11--#80

Nike Air Pegasus water resistant trail runner. These aren't very water resistant, though. So don't wear them out in the rain. But they belong to me, I guess, so you won't be wearing them at all, unless you're really lucky.

Tuesday

Oct 10--#81

Air Max Tempo Low from the 90's. The Air More Tempo is better, but I just don't have the money to spend $80 bucks on the Mores--I only have enough to spend 40-60 bucks each on 100 other pairs of shoes.

Oct 9--#82

Doc Martin street shoes. Yeah, these are those Docs that no one bought so you can get them cheap. I wear them about thrice a year, so they are just breaking in and they're 3 years old.

Sunday

Oct 8--#83

Nike Flightposite III--Battlegrounds. Cushiony and astronauty. My first purchase ever on ebay. I bought them for $150 less than retail. No jokes today. These shoes are too serious.

Oct 7--#84

These are Jordans--on the dressy tip. Got them at the Nike factory store for 40 bucks. Come see me preach in these at my church, and I'll dunk you you.

Friday

Oct 6--#85

The Nike Free Trail trainer. These are supposed to be good muscle building shoes. We'll see if they work to build up my weakness from a high ankle sprain. Have you had one of those? They're terrible. Who am I talking to? No one even knows this blog is up! Word!

Thursday

Oct 5--#86

These are the flamante runners of mine: Shox TL2's. Yeah, they look even better in person. Bow down, to the king of worthless possessions for the feet.

Oct 4--#87

These are simply black shoes that are a knockoff of something nice. Though it says they were made in Italy. Oooooh. 25 bucks.

Tuesday

Oct 3--#88

Simple Clogs, generation deux. I liked my first pair better, and I don't wear these much anymore. But they're a good all-around shoe for cloggin' and scroggin'. Actually, you shouldn't attempt either of those activities in these shoes. At least I don't. I just had to use those words in a sentence. Go blogs. That could be a good name for an NFL team. Baltimore Blogs. Or, Sacramento Scroggers.

Monday

Oct 2--#89

Reebok slips that I got for free when my other pair broke down. Thanks, Reebok!

Sunday

Oct 1--#90

A gift from my man Ed: 111% authentic Jordan Fours. This one goes out to my dead homies.
